i need to know what it means when it says someething like 4x40. what does that mean? i coiuld use any information

4x magnification with a 40mm viewing lens.

But dont' worry about scopes, they're not worth it in paintball unless you're using it to see far away without the intention of shoot paint.

thats exactly it! i play scenario usually and was gonna use it for recon. I wouldnt use a scope for shooting at long distances. every one knows that a paintball cant go very far. thanks for the information

in that case get a large viewing lens. there's nothign worse than having to look through a 20mm scope.
