shin guards or leg protection?

hi, i've been looking around the internets for a pair of shin pads to complete my paintball "uniform". something like the heavy leg armor for rainbow six vegas 2 if anyones played that. big and bulky shin guards. i cant find any except for thin neoprene shin pads and crazy shiny soccer shin guards. i did find some ballistic shin guards but i dont want to pay 700 bucks for em!

Have you taken a look at ice hockey shin pads? These have the knee pad connected to the shin pad, both of which are a hard shell on the outside. The newer pads made are a little colorful sometimes, but you may be able to find some all black ones, or just bust out some spray paint. A little nail polish remover and a scrub sponge will get rid of any logos. You will definitely be able to find some under $50. If you have any used sporting goods stores near you (Play It Again Sports?) check those out first.

Go with mountain biking shin guards. They are designed for maximum comfort and being able to take metal spikes into your legs... so they'll definitely work.
I had a pair of Six Six One pads when I rode MTB and they were amazing. Wish I would of owned them before I already chopped my shins to bits

You dont need much

for a paintball course you dont need that much anyway. some 1/8 to /1/4 inch foam shin pads and leg pads with skateboarding knee pads should be very good for flexibility and cover.
