I duno if it's been asked yet, and I did a search for it, and found nothing so here's my question;
What does it mean to be a 3+2 pack? What do the +'s mean?

Or a + means that you have extra loops else wehre on the pack like vertically on the side or in front of the main pack vertically.

There are 3 main spots to put pods, but there are 2 elestic loops either between the main spots or under the pack. A 3+2 carries 5 pods.

I always thought it was the amount of pods plus the place to hold a tank. My harness said 4+1 when I got it and it has four pod holders and a Co2 holder (even though I dont use that anymore)

^thats the horizontal packs.

i have a 3+2, and wooddog's desription was perfect.

|= velcro holders
1 = elastic loops.
