are pb sidearms worth buying?
Are sidearms even allowed in speedball? Like if you run out of ammo can u just whip out a sidearm and use that as a last choice? 0?

I don't really see the point. I'd rather just get called out for that game then spend an extra 100 dollars on something that wouldn't get much use.

I believe they are allowed in speedball. And if you run out of ammo you need to shoot less or buy a bigger pack.

People dont buy a $400 pistol for paintball. Its a collectors item, or was. Since AGD started selling them again, the resale value for them dropped... now all the sydarm owners are complaining.

I bought a Delta and a PGP as originally as sidearms but have had so much fun using the PGP I've started to occasionally play only stock. What was once a sidearm is now mostly my primary. As reliable as many markers are today it would be more worth the money to buy one to open up new styles of play instead of using it as a backup.

Sidearms
The only way i would buy them is for certain types of games. Like lets say i can only have a hopper full and nothing to fill the main hopper. And my choices are during the game is:
A) Use the 200 or so shots wisely (on your main PB gun)
B) If all 200 is shot, i can take out the sidearm and still continue to play
C) Use the blow dart style .50 cal sidearm that you lost in the garage awhile back when you converted to .60 cal play.

Not to be nitpicky but wouldn't using a sidearm with extra ammo defeat the purpose of a hopper limited game?

i think that you should just get a nice pod back cause some side arms are like 2,3 hundred dollars and you could get a nice pod pack for way less plus they might not be that accuret too.

PB sidearms are a total waste of money. My friend got one.. and it was so pointless to have. Spend ur money on upgrades or something... but not on a sidearm. Like the other guys said, "buy a bigger pack if ur running outta paint, not a sidearm."

The ONLY time I have seen a sidearm come to good use is when we were woodsballing about a year ago when this kid ran out of Air. He used the PGP pump pistol and believe it or not, that thing is accurate and as hell...got two kids out.

I had a sidearm and it sucked. It leaked, the balls rolled out of the barrel, the velocity sucked, and there was hardly any range. It wasn't worth the money, luckily i traded it for an HPA system Just shoot carefully and get a bigger pack if necesary (spelling?)

This ones a little out of date, but hey...the newb used the "Search" feature instead of posting the the about same topic!
Personally, I like the idea of a sidearm. If nothing more than the bad*ss factor of running out of ammunition/air and whipping out a chrome Delta and letting loose. I've seen a couple running nothing more than dual Deltas and doing quite well. Granted it's not much more than a novelty for the casual player, but if you're hardcore about it, you probably spend enough on paint a week to buy a decent sidearm. But that's just my .02

Deltas are pimp. They might have use in a scenario game or if you dont want added bulk of your main gun. also i think they look pretty cool.

Don't waste your money on Deltas until they fix the low velocity problems and get rid of the neck seal for cartridges. I had 2 of them with the same exact problems. The velocity problem isn't fixable with springs. It might be possible to up it by modifying the valve pin, but you would probably have to add material to it. I hadn't found a material yet that bonds well enough to withstand the hammering of the..... hammer. I hear the Zeus line is pretty sweet but I won't have any personal experience with them until next month. Until then I've shelved the idea of using semi pistols in favor of using my PGP.
