Turtle Autocockers
Has anybody ever seen one of these before? Do they still make the cockers, and do they still make the conversion kits?

Yes, they are still making the kits and doing conversions. They supposedly got the turnaround time down to an acceptable time now too. But there are other places that you can get 1/2 block cocker body kits.
And they are a thing of sweetness. Oscarine here on the forums has the one I want, the Osiris tournament. Not technically a turle cocker, but it's a 1/2 block all the same. And the absolute most luscios cocker (in my opinion) ever made.

Turtle cocker is Bob Longs version of a Half block. Basicly they all eliminate the back half of the top tube and move the back block to sit above the bottom tube. The pin gets inserted into the hammer from the top, so no "cocking rod" is needed. Basicly it moves the cocking mass to be above the bottom tube instead of off the back. Doc machines has some, Bob Long makes some, all with little differences. I have heard them called Turtles, Half Blocks, Fast backs. (all different manufacturers.) They are sweet, expensive, but sweet.

Turtle cockers mean u really dont have a need for a beaver tail because you dont have to worry about the back block comming back and hitting you in the mask.
EDIT:Energizer bunny go to www.turtlecockers.com

Beaver tails are also their so its harder for players to push down the cocking rod, because pushing down the cocking rod increases velocity makeing it easier for you to shoot hot

Check my Sig for my Osiris, the conversion really is done by Bob "Turtle" Long and theres enough variations of Turtles to consider it a Turtle IMO :P
Theres also alot of other halfblock-midblock conversions out there to consider
Z-Force, Martins ( don't think hes doing them anymore ), Doc's, Disruptive, etc. I recommend buying the body pre-done and not having your own sent in or you might not see it for 6 to 9 months ^_^

IMO the best turtlecocker website is Disruptive Paintball. They make the pro-cut, mini pro-cut, and are soon to being coming out with a mini-block with the new mq valve. They also sell body kits and do conversions if you send in your gun for only $170-$280 depending on style and if you want a new ano job. I'll be getting one with the mq valve when it comes out. Hope I helped!!!

I would suggest getting your Autococker Martin'd instead. The way the Turtle conversion is set up it wears away the anno quickly. On the Martin the backblock is floating to prevent anno wear.

Last I heard Martin wasn't taking orders, but if he is yeah there nice.
Are probably the neatest halfblocks I've seen.
