So witgh the new zero board from eclipse you can make you e1 into a e2 (trigger frame wise). I think that pretty cool since you still get the cool new screen etc. But the one factor that is keeping me away from doing such a thing (besides price) is can i use a e2 3 way (solneid) on my e1 before i change the board?

Personally, I would just not buy the board (about $180 - $200 Since Im assuming youd be exchanging it) And then sell your Eblade setup (Roughly $200) and then just buy an E2 with what you saved and sold. Youll have just about enough, plus maybe another $50. Im sure in the long run youll be happier.

I agree with MOP, exspecially since beat up well used e1's sell easily for $200, you could get even more, $220 - $230 in good shape.
To answer your question tho, yes the noid is the same.
