First, do you guys have any ideas of how to make a side feed body a vert feed?
Second, what do you think the best body is for under or at $300?

If you want a spanking new body the AIM's are right in there. but Free Flow will cost you a little more. If you can handle used, you can pick up an 03 for under $100, and send it to joshgrrrr and have custom milling done, anoed and all for under your $300 cap. (thats what I would do)

You can buy raw bodies on ebay for $50 + shipping, and get it milled + annoed for 200-300, that's what I would do.

You can get a verticle feed body kit off ebay for about $110, with frame and internals.

if it comes with internals does that mean that I only have to put my reg, 3 way, bolt, trigger, and asa on the body?

The type I mentioned arrive with a clamping feed neck, 15° VA, front and back blocks, and trigger frame (complete). These all need to be assembled onto the body, along with the internals kit.
To complete, you'd need an inline reg, a rod set (pump, timing, and cocking), a bolt (+bolt pin), and the pneumatics (LPR, ram, 3-way).
Finally, you'd need an ASA/drop/macroline/braided hose setup, but that's a lot of personal preference, so I'll not delve into that.

Can I put the parts from my 99' STO autococker on a brand new autococker body?
The ones im looking at on ebay say that the parts have to be year 2000 or greater, but are there vertical feed bodies that will take the parts from my gun?

After 2000 WGP made their Autococker bodies different. Not sure how, but not all the parts will fit.

All Autococker makers now use WGP style bodies, because more money would be made if they did so. How? Because if they made aftermarket parts for Autocockers, most buyers would have a WGP Autococker at the time. When these companies decided to make their own line they used WGP style bodies because they already had the aftermarket parts out to fit those styles.
Some things will not fit, I am positive the bolt won't and I am pretty sure the trigger frame won't fit also. Their is probably more.

Trigger frame will fit. Bolt is due to different backblock's pre-2k.
Some makers will use incompatible valves various other little niggling things. For the most part external pneumatics, trigger frames, etc will work.
If you purchase a new backblock for a pre2k along with a new bolt it would work generally.
Lotsa nice bodies out there, I like Jackal's asthetics and well made.

I got my advanced concepts body off ebay with clamping feed neck, front block, back block, 15 degree asa, and a hinge frame for $120. Mine has virtually no milling, but it has windows and is plain black, you can get them with some milling, and fading colors for a little more.
