problems with reflective eye...please help

I'm having serious issues with my breach sensor. Even if a ball is in the chamber, the gun doesn't cycle completly. The bolt stays cocked back like it's waiting for a ball to drop down and then after like 2 or 3 seconds it closes. I tried changing the sensitivity of the eye but no matter what I set it at (10%-90%) when the bolt is cocked back it reads 74 and when either the bolt is closed or there's a ball in the chamber it reads 94. WTF?!

the sensor works. it changes when there's a ball in the chamber and when the chamber is empty. It just doesn't want to cycle completly.

if there was a short would the eye be dead completely or would the indicator change just a little bit (73 when the chamber is empty and 93 when there is a ball in the chamber)
thanks for the post by the way.

What color paint are you using? If it is anything dark that could be the problem.

clean the eye. take that top screw out, take a q tip and brush it off, there could be junk in the way making it **** up. should do this any way every 4 - 5 times you use the cocker.

I was using orange paint and I cleaned the eye before I used it last.

when you keep the sensitivity of the eye on 50% in the menu...how low is that top number supposed to be when there's nothing in the chamber?
