Eblades are uncapped. The speed depend on your pnuematics (sp?). The new eblades have ramping also.

Idk what ions are mechanically capped at, but w/ the stock board (which is what you apparently have been offered) is capped at 17 no matter what, while the cocker is capped at whatever speed the ram can cycle at, which on a dye ram, my guess would be somewhere around 20, and if you added QEVS you could probably get it to 30, and then you are all set for speed...
Plus the cocker is straight up better quality.
Only problem is, if something is out of whack (timing) then you either need prior knowledge w/ cockers, lots of mechanical skill and research time, or some extra cash ($30 sounds about right) to get it re-timed by your local pro-shop.
Good luck!

Yes, I am aware that they have ramping stock. I was just stating some facts so that the person who started this thread can make an educated decision.

the starter of the thread stated he was getting an E2 if geting the cocker. in that case ramping is pretty much stock, E2's come with ramping. the only way it wouldnt be stock would be getting an E1 and then getting a zero b board.
but anyways, if money is not an issue definitely get the e-cocker. it will be much better quality and more of a head turner. everyone and their grandma has an ion, cockers are unique.

^^Truf, Ions are capped at 17 bps, ramping or not. The cocker...you can hit mid 20's w/ an e2, ive hit 25bps w/ the gun in my sig. Go cocker. Be diff, everyone has an ion, not many have e2'd prostocks.

If you're going to buy a cocker you should research about timing before you buy. And don't even consider trying to fix something on your 'broken' cocker before reading the stickies and finding out exactly what and where the problem is. (knowing how to fix it before you start unscrewing things would help too)
Also- DYE rams are terrible. Anything cocker related that DYE makes is a p.o.s. FF rams are faster, lighter, higher quality, and have a better warranty. Get QEV's if you're getting a FF ram; much faster and cleaner cycle.
Solution:
a) try to post in the thread you made more than once
b) get which ever marker suits your skill level/position/style of play

Yes, but I still think the Dye ram could get you up to 20, it's gotta be better than the stock ram which gets you to around 17-18 (I think)... but yeah, do as much research as you can before buying a cocker. It might seem daunting at first, but it really ain't that bad... basic rule is, if it's working, then make sure everything is nice and locked down so it keeps working that way

My cocker ive hit 28 bps with the eyes off and with bounce, but thats with an e1, but e2s are better than e1s, and if e1s are bad compared to an e2, and an e1 is better and faster than an ion, go with the cocker. <---If you understood that. Wow.

he basically said if he can hit 28 on an E1, imagine what you can do on an E2.

Ions are junk, thats what im trying to tell you. Id go with a e-99 over an ion. Ions are just a fad, then when the "NEXT big thing" comes out. They will be even more worthless than they already are.

why do u think fads happen? either because people are idiots and have to be like the cool kids, or the fad is a good thing. less than $300 for ramping, 17 bps, reliability, and durability? sounds good to me. if money is no issue, get the cocker. otherwise go with the ion.
