what to tell parents?
i jus bout an autococker and told my parents, then they asked, "Why did you buy a new gun, what's wrong with your old gun(03 spyder imagine)," i replied, "I wanted a new gun," them, "what makes this gun so much better besides its looks?" then i drew a blank, so i was wondering, what makes autocockers desirable, or why did you ppl buy autocockers?

1. Better design. The closed bolt design of the cocker induces very little kick, therefore allowing for very precise shooting (until you go electro, then it cycles too fast and causes a lot of kick)
2. Better efficiency. Because you're not wasting air to blow the hammer back, you can run lower pressures through a cocker than your normal spyder. This (usually, but not always) makes a gun more efficient.
3. Upgradeability. There is almost nothing you CAN'T do to a cocker. It's the ultimate personalization gun. You can half-block and race it with freeflow internals and STO pneumatics. Or with the same gun to start, you could e2 it, mq valve, nexus ram w/ qev's, stiffi bolt, and it'd look completely different, and perform differently. This is the reason that cockers remain fairly popular, is that you can truly make them into a one of a kind gun, if you're willing to dump the money into them.
4. performance. Halfblocked, mq-valved, and electro-framed, a cocker will keep up with ANY gun made.

use the example of a dodge neon and a ferrari. Both do the same thing, but the ferrari does it so much better, and that's why it's more. It's not a matter of something "wrong" w/ the current gun, so much as the new one allows you to play even better, etc.

they also have a tendency to suck... lol
and you can always tell your parents that now you have something to do, its fun taking apart your cocker and/or trying to get the timing set up even better. you will never be idle when you have a cocker lol, always something to do, fix, or upgrade... unlike spyders
