no you cannot bc you are not doing the actual triggering of the 3way the frame does it itself....almost idiot proof

owning an ebladed cocker is less than half the work of a mech. but its good to know how a mech works, how to tune it and how to trouble shoot it. because as suxor said its mostly automated. there can be some configuration though. (setting bolt depth, back block depth, velocity,) and you will want to be able to notice little quirks so that you can catch something early.

Righty... jaggy pretty much got it. W/ a mech you are manually moving the cocking rod which controls the gas flow through the 3-way. On a raceframe/E1/E2 and others, the 3-way is an electronic solenoid that is activated when you pull the trigger. When you pull the trigger, it does a fully cycle, doesn't matter how much you pull the trigger as long as you trip the microswitch.

actually, you can short stroke on classic mode. if you have particularly heavy internals, it could be possible to short stroke if you dont hold the trigger down long enough. however, since the trigger pull is so light, it will still be hard to do. if you didnt know already, classic mode makes it function like a mech cocker. if you hold down the trigger, it will hold the back block back, and as soon as you let go, it comes forward.

Meh, you could short stroke if you have the settings all jacked up. If so...reset to the factory settings of your preferance.

In other words: You could shortstroke one, but you'd have to qualify for SPED in order to do so.
