Is the 05 Pro Stock good????
I want a cocker really bad. ive wanted one since I started playing like 3-4 yrs ago and im maing a team with my friend who has an impulse and hes playing front.Im better than he is but i was wondering if the 05 pro stock would get the job done as a front or middle player since its nice and compact and ill be able to squeeze in on bunkers better. So if i buy it, is it the right choice??...and i also want to upgrade it A LOT with good cocker barrels and a nice bolt....and some other stuff.what will be some good upgrades??? and one more question, does it run on High Pressure or low pressure...because i want to get a high pressure nitro tank cause there cheaper.

I told you in your other thread. Autocockers are outdated. They were popular 3-4 years ago, like you said. There are better guns than the 05 prostock around the same price.

cockers are awesome, you could probably buy a nice used cocker with an e1 or e2 for a cheap price, which would give you a faster rate of fire

if you REALLY want a cocker, and you know for a fact that no other gun will make you happy, then go for it, but take my word for it, there are much cheaper guns out that will give you much better performance. and remember, this is coming from a cocker enthusiast. so make sure its really a cocker that you want, and if so, make sure to buy used. used, you can get e1 and e2 cockers fully upped for around 500, and sometimes cheaper.

Cockers ARE awesome, just not for their price. No matter the price of a NEW cocker (pb superbolt/lightning deluxe excepted), you can find something better than one in it's price class. They are horribly overpriced guns, but they still rip.

If you get a cocker, get used. They are way too overpriced buying them new.

Autocockers are like extremely hard to maintain and personally i think that they are overpriced and to complicated. Just buy like an ion get a new barrel and new board, but if you really want a cocker i might be able to sell u an e-bladed one for around
4-500 mabey PM me if u r intrested

just a correction, cockers are not hard to maintain. the only guns that are easier to maintain are probably blowbacks and automags. a few drops of oil in the asa and a couple dozen cycles are all you need after every day of play, and every so often (i usually do this about every 2 months), cleaning and lubing the reg, pneumatics and hammer assembly, but every high end gun will require the same. New, yes they are overpriced, but complicated, not anymore than other high end guns.

i think what scares people out of cockers is 1) the price and 2) timing them, which isn't hard at all. people make timing a cocker sound like a nightmare.

I think your $$ could be better spent than on a new prostock. My first recomendation would be to get an eframe. get a new Black magic or superstock if new is what you want. Used is a great way to save some $$ on a cocker though. As you have probably noticed, resale is very poor on cockers. Pick up an upgraded used one for about the same as you were thinking of paying new for a mech. Shoot me a PM if you want, and I can link you to some sweet cockers for a great price.
People like balla just make me laugh. So much advise to give with absolutly no experience. I have shot and or owned nearly every high end gun there is, and I will defend cockers performance and reliablility to the very end.
I dare even say that if balla ever shot a nice cocker and learned how to tune them instead of trolling and flaming he would even be a believer. But alas he is just an example of a typical "gotta have the trendy thing of today" type of guy.
If thats what you are, then cockers are problably not for you. If you take care of your equipment and don't mind learning a little bit about how it works, cockers can be the most reliable and easy to maintain gun out there.

Big-Balla, can you just leave the cocker section alone?
Seriously...All you ever do is bash them and talk about how bad and outdated they are.
Youd be better going used instead of new. You can find a nice upped e1'd cocker for around 300-400.
If e'd is what you want. If mech is, then deff. buy used.
