i dont think this is the right section, but how do you take off the asa/on off thing off of my gun and put it on another, i dont want to screw it up so it leaks, should i do it myself or bring it to the shop

just unscrew the screws that hold it onto the frame first, then if its a macro, pull out the line, if its a ss hose, you'll have to unscrew it. then screw it on the frame of the new gun. if its ss, when you screw the hose back on, make sure to put some teflon tape on the threads so it doesn't leak.

i think its a ss, one has the black hose aand one has the metal-looking one thats on low-end guns

so just unscrew the asa from the hose?

So you are taking it off ss and puting it on macro? You will need a 90* swivel fitting, if so.

i have 2 asas, or where u screw the tanks in, and i need to switch them, ones on a metal hose, ones on a black hose

we can better direct you if you tell us exactly what you have. Most asa work pretty similarly, but there are some that work completely different (unimount vs duckbill). If you don't know what you have, just take a pic of it, or describe it.
