Read the stickies for some information about timing it. My recomendation would be to just get to know it inside and out. After you have a few days of play with it, you can change up the timing and find what works best for you.
I'd start saving for an eframe, other than that you should need much else. Most other upgrades aren't going to do alot for performance.

Read through that.

I agree with jaggy, save up for an eblade.

isn't it a rail system? it should have the set screws. otherwise the standard size is 10/32 thread pitch by1/2 or 3/4 long. (1/2 will ussually work)

as for removing the steal line, its most likely locked in with thread sealant. I use a torch to heat it up quickly to cook the locktite before the entire assembly heats up to damage orings inside. (direct flame like a lighter should work fine.) just remember the parts will be hot! heat it up until you hear the locktite bubbling.
I use a pencil toruch and count to 10... if that helps any.

another handy tool is a strap wrench. it comes in handy on regs or other round parts that you should be putting plyers on.

If you dont have a strap wrench,go to home depot and use their's. Just dont tell them that's what your doing or they will kick you out.

Jaggy: "I use a torch to heat it up quickly to cook the locktite before the entire assembly heats up to damage orings inside."

Just don't keep the flame on it too long and remember, when things are heated up, the expand. If you heat it up too much, you will have to wait till the metal cools and shrinks back down. Also, inside the braided hose is a hose made of a plastic material that will melt if it get too hot, so be warned.
