Gun Not Firing!!!

so when i plug in air,and shoot normal, the gun cocks back every time, but doesnt shoot any air out, But if you pull back hard on the trigger,it actually does shoot air. Could it be the Sear? or how can i fix this?

sounds like you're short stroking a mechanical cocker. with mechs you always have to pull back fully and release fully in order for the gun to fire and cycle properly. there are upgrades you can buy to shorten the trigger pull, my friend had a cam adjuster, worked wonders. if this isnt the problem, and you know what short stroking is, and when it happens, its probably a timing issue with your gun: get your gun timed.

What I'm about to say isn't the problem if air shoots out when you pull on the trigger hard, but if air never shoots out your bolt may be upside down.

I know what short stroking is,and im not..if i pull all the way,and release, all it does is cock back, but no air shoots, but if i pull the trigger really hard,it shoots....thats why im thinking the sear is worn down. And i just got my gun timed,so i dont know.

Hmm... try to back out the hammer some. The part that catches the sear. If you back it out a little bit it should possibly help. The person that timed it may have twisted it one time to much and it cant release from the sear.

from what i got out of that, it sounds to me like a timing problem. retime your firing and actuating points and you may find that they were the problem.

check your lug depth. If the sear was "worn" then it wouldn't catch the lug.
