Newb to cockers
So I bought this used cocker the other day, is there anything you can tell me about it? I have no idea if its all stock or not, I know the grips and the drop were added, but other than that is anything new? What model is it and such? Any basic stuff I should know would also be helpful. Thanks.

looks like an '04 vert autococker from WGP
looks like pretty much stock except, new hoses, a drop, dye sticky grips, a new guage underneath the front block, the person removed the beaver tail, and a bob long torpedo inline regulator. It's def a cocker with potential

The guy I bought it from said it's an 03, and I paid $120 for it. I'd say its a fair deal. No where was open tonight to get my tank filled, so I haven't tested it yet, and I'm gone for the weekend :S Hopefully I can get it tested out next week.

If this is your first cocker i suggest that you do some research on the maintenance of these markers. They are a fairly complicated marker due to the timing. Check out wgp's web page and see what all the functions of the parts. But nice score on your cocker.

Yeah I've read quite a bit about them, I'm hoping it's already set up and timed good so I don't need to mess with it too much. How do I know if I need to redo the timing though?

So I aired up my new marker for the first time today and was wondering, sometimes it makes a loud POP sound. Is this normal? Also, it seemed to be really inconsistant, I would shoot a good shot then the next shot would just lob out with very little FPS. Then another good shot. Is this a timing issue? I'm going to get my tank filled again tomorrow and see what I can do. I'm not very familiar with regs either, there is a gauge installed so I can see the PSI, about how high should it be?

you may be short-stroking it (not pulling the trigger all the way) thats easy to do when you first start out, you literally have to relearn how to shoot. The pressure (if I remember right) should be around 250-270 at least, thats what it was on mine.

Definetely a cocker with a lot of potential. If you ever decide to upgrade it definetely invest in a some sort of eblade for it.

Ok so I aired it up again, and fixed a small leak that it had. It cycles fine, but when i have paint in it it won't shoot, it will still cycle but the paint just ends up in the barrel. I'm not short stroking and I've raised and lowered the velocity, my gauge says that theres pressure too. What's going wrong now? Also I'm getting a leak out of the regulator where the bottom part of it unscrews. How can I fix this?

sounds like the lug is too deep... so... your timing is off. read the stickies and time the thing.

COCKER OWNER # 57 HECK YESH!

A recent study shows that 92% of all teenagers moved on to rap, put this in your sig. if you're one of the 8% who stayed with real music.
