sounds like the lug is set too low. If its been a while since you've used it, you may want to just re time the marker.

check out the sticky for step by step instructions.

some lugs are rounded. its to reduce the break over tension on the sear. (make the trigger pull a little lighter and smoother.)

The lug may be lock tited in. if it still won't budge take the trigger frame off again (if not still off) and hit it with some heat. (lighter, pencil tourch.)
if you hear it start to sizle or see bubbles, thats enough heat. (10 seconds then try to turn it again)

i also looked into getting a new hammer, but i would want to replace it with the "stock one" the shocktech Phat hammer, and i noticed that it has a nylon set screw to keep the lug form moving(i found this out at the shocktech site), so is that why may lug wont budge, but on the same note if im having this much trouble forcing it then how could it of become out of place, the last time i used the gun was like in early 2004 and it started acting up toward the end of the day and now it is horrible, do i need to pull the hammer out?

this is a mech cocker...

training mode is a mode on the e2 trigger frame that doesn't allow the sear to trip.

You will have to move the lug to take the hammer out. otherwise it wount allow the hammer to move past the sear slot in the bottom tube.
