Depends on the Model. The SystemX Vengeance cockers were absolutely awful. However, the later models (Vengeance 2.0, Vengeance 4.0, TypeX, Vengeance Attitude) were all quite nice. The bolts are full delrin, about equal to the PE Dart bolt. The rams were copies of the WGP STO ram. The LPR works quite well. The inline reg is a copy of the Bob Long Torpedoe. The 3-way (if mech) is VERY similar to the orracle 3-way. If it's a Xonik, then that is essentially identical to the e1. The SystemX usually look very nice because of their front block (lpr also acts as banjo bolt), which also allows SystemX to have some of the best flowing front blocks. The feedneck is cocker threads.
As for comparing it to an Ion, most people will prefer an Ion. It's smaller, lighter, has ramping modes (unless outfitted with Tboard/ZeroB, Xonik doesn't have ramping) and is still supported under warranty (SystemX is long since out of business). However, if you're not afraid of having to actually LEARN how the gun works, then cockers are amazingly reliable and efficient guns. And no gun will get the gawks that a cocker and her beautiful pneumatics gets.
