Cocker Problems
Ok, I offered to fix a gun for a co-worker of mine, it's an autococker, even though he hast played in like 3 yrs (i just wanted to get my hands on it) but i guess he let some other guy mod it and now it wont cock all the way, also he ran C02, is it possible to repair the C02 damage? What would i look for for 'C02 damage'?
i wonder if he'dsell it? What do you think it's worth?
From his description it sounds like an '03

Well...wrong section...but if its not cocking all the way, its probably the LPR needs turned up, or the input pressure needs turned down. As far as the CO2, the only thing it would have damaged would have been the 3-way, or maybe the valve. but its unlikely.
As far as worth, if its a mech he MAY get about 150-200 out of it, depending on what mods...

i had planned to gut it, clean it really well, change all the 0-rings that looked bad, then lube it like theres no tomorrow, i was just wondering about C02 damage because i knw other more expensive markers like this (ion for example) Don't like C02 and i wasnt sure what kind of damage C02 could actually do.

If it is a mech cocker than it can run on co2 without a problem. Might want to rebuild the regulator if the co2 wasn't anti-siphoned. If it is e-bladed or raced, then it could have damaged the 4-way solenoid, but thats about it.

If it's not leaking when you air it up, there probably wasn't any damage done by the co2.
What do you mean it won't cock all the way? The back block literally won't go all the way back, or the cocking won't stay cocked?
It could be many things, trigger mis-timed, three way mis-timed, LPR pressure, and then some.

That's too vague for me to identify the problem.
I would:
1) Without air, pull back on the cocking to see if it stays cocked.
-If it doesn't, then your lug/sear is the problem.
-If it does, it could be many things, move on to step two:
2) Again without air, pull the back block all the way back, and move it forward again.
-If moving the back block all the way back doesn't cock it, then you need to adjust the cocking rod length and/or the pump arm length (the space between the body and the back block)
-If it does cock, then move on to step three:
3) Time to air it up. Pull the trigger all the way back, hold it for a second or two, and release.
-If it doesn't cock, either the trigger set screw or your three way needs to be adjusted. Check the trigger set screw first, as you can just set the screw as far away from the trigger to eliminate that cause (then repeat step 3).
-If it does cock, then it probably did it rather slowly since the only thing it could be at this point is a low LPR.
4) Increase the LPR pressure a little bit at a time. Different LPRs adjust differently, make sure you turn it the right way. The stock one is a pain, as you have to degas the marker, take the lpr front off, and use a screw driver to adjust it.
