ideas for my cocker

i bought an '03 black magic... i think. i think its basically stock, but i dont know much. got it for $150.

on a couple of reviews, for the elbow (dunno if its still called an elbow because its a vert feed) its really hard to get off and some kid broke off the feed off his gun... sooo.. is this really a problem? i tried getting it off and i couldnt (bare hands)

the gun itself didnt come with a safety, is that a problem?

the drop is cp.

i'm thinking on getting a n2 tank, but i need a little bit more money. and i need to change a couple o-rings and time it.

any suggestions on upgrades? will i need a new hopper?

depends on how much your willing to spend.

and about the feedneck, if it dosent screw off, then it's pressed on and if you want another one put im im pretty sure you have to pay someone to press a new one on.

for the feed, put a cloth around it, get a vice grip and twist it off

the safety isn't really important, get an on/off and use a barrel condom you'll be fine

yeah HPA will run better for it, but you can still use CO2 to make sure it works, don't say you need to time it until you've actually shot it a couple times.

i've tried shooting it a couple times and it was kinda messed up. the first thing i tried timing was the 3 way. it was leaking so i moved it back a little bit. for awhile i couldn't find out how to get the bolt out . guess theres a button on the back :P

and for my drop, it doesnt have a bleed, so it feels kinda unsafe after you unscrew the thingy and theres still pressure in it. i've rethought about it, and you probably just need to shoot out the gas inside the gun? anyways cockers keep pressure inside the gun anyways right?

and how far should the thingy that the cocking rod screws into be? i was trying to get my back block to be the 1mm thingy away from the gun, and it seemed like it didnt have enough pressure, so i screwed it in some more, but this increases velocity right? or is velocity on the front block?

well before tampering with the 3-way just remember that messing with the 3-way means adjusting the Actuation and you have to make sure it's kept in S-F--A-E mode

S-start F-fire A-Acuation E-end

yeah my on/off doesn't bleed either, just turn your gun upside down and shoot the rest of the air out. Turning the on/off to out only cuts off the supply of air to the gun. theirs still air left inside because when the on/off is left on it's a constant flow and ready for the next shot.

and are you talking about the cocking rod or the cocking knob? well cocking rod should be all the way in...and cocking knob...pull back the backblock and look through the feed and from a perfect straight down view you should see VERY little to no bolt. IF you have it too far back the LPR might not be high enough to recock it and you want to keep your LPR as low as possible because timing is all about how air efficient you can make your cocker

For you backblock just screw it in so when it's not cocked you can just see light that way theirs no metal on metal action and the bolt is going all the way in.

and now are you talking about the IVG (internal velocity governor (adjuster)) it should be about 2-3 full turns in

but if you really want to sweetspot your regulator, you turn down the inline regulator really low, and slowly screw it in so eventually the velocity doesn't adjust by air alone

if it's not enough turn the IVG in more, if too much turn it down.
