I always use the 30% rule depending on age, figure $500 new and its an 05 so 30% of first year value would be $500 . x 30%=150 (150-500=350) then use an approximate of 10% of each additional year thereafter so 500 . x 40% would be 200 and so on up to about 3or4 years then it starts to even out so figure a 4 year old cocker with e-blade or whatever that has a retail value of 500 brand new would be worth approx $250 at the end of the 4 year cycle depending on rarity or upgrades and so on, I have used this formula for many years now and it has always worked for me when buying and selling.
so here is a break down
500 new
30%(1 YR)=350
350-10%(2YR)315
315-10%(3YR)283.50
283.50-10%(4YR)255.15
So on avg. most markers in this price range new show up in the market place a year or two later somewhere in the ball park of 300-350 and of course you have to factor in supply and demand and with other companies making a new offering ever year and WGP/K2 has not, the beloved Autococker has kind of taken a back seat in the market as it is now not in as big of a "Demand" as it once was.
I hope this helps you all out and by the way this is in no way a bashing, I happen to love Autocockers and have been shooting them for many years, so this is in no way a "Cocker Bashing".
Peace to all,
Crash
