superstock problem

i recently purchased a new superstock, when i air it up i noticed a small leak inside the bolt area at least it sounds like it is coming from there. I took the marker apart and replaced the O ring on the valve I was careful to put it all back together the same as it was and it is still leaking. A friend of mine's superstock also leaks i discovered. i am wondering is this common? i did a search on here and really didnt find an answer. it does not apear to be in the soleinoid. and before i did any of this i ran oil thru the marker like the manual says.

Did you manually cock it before you aired it up?

Because the main spring hold the hammer/striker against the valve pin when the gun is uncocked. So on some autocockers this will cause the valve to stay open when you air it up.

Try cocking it before you air it up and see if it still leaks.

My next question is Did you use a Valve tool remove the internal nut that holds the Valve in place?

There are two nuts that ho;ld the valve in place,

The first on came be reached by removing the grip frame.

Located here:

The other is internal and can only be reached by Removing the Cocking rod, hammer, spring, back block and IVG. This one need a tool to remove as the Vavle pin is in the way for a allen key

To mee it sounds like your missing the Internal nut or it's not tighened down all the way as you were able to take it out with an allen key.

(Now i just got to put my pump back together)

ok, so what you are saying is that using an allen wrench isnt tightening the jam nut correctly? ok, what i want to ask is the tool that you use is it hollow on the end to allow the pin to sit inside it so you can tighten it down? if so i will make one by putting my allen wrench in a vise and drill press and make it hollow to allow the pin to sit in it. that would be faster than buying one. i am with you though on this. my question is the set nut under the marker that holds the valve in place will only allow the nut to be so tight anyhow i think. not sure. i really do thank you for trying to help me out here.

this is what i come up with. i made a tool by drilling out the center of an allen wrench, for now it works well. i am ordering a real tool. i replaced the o ring on the valve and tighened it well this time but the leak persists. i think i have a bad valve. my question is, what is a good valve kit? i saw evil, beales, and one called maddman rocket valve that looks like a beast. what is your opinion on any of them? when i get the new ones cause i am ordering two. i will have someone at the field install it for me. and then i will know if i am doing something wrong.

I got a Macdev cocker valve in my e-bladed cocker and it has not even hiccuped once. (most of the problems I have had with it are ram related)

Besales are good valves as are the evil. But eh Maddman is alot of marketing hype

leaking superstock

i had the same problem with my superstock i called wgd told them about it. they told me that the cup seal was leaking where it rested on the valve body. it had a deep scratch on it from the machine. they told me to lightly sand it with 400 to 600 fine grit sand paper until the mark was gone. i did what they said but after i used the 600 grit i went back over it with 1200 grit so it had a very smooth finish. take a piece of 600 grit lay it flat on a smooth surface hold it so it dont move and hold the valve body in hand make sure it is flat and go back and forth a few times keep checking it until the scratch is gone then do same with 1200 grit. i did it and i have no more leaks and the gun works perfect
