I just got a auto cocker clone '99 I dont know what it is, it was cheap off of ebay so I bought it for a spare. But the ball detent wont hold the ball, it just rolls out the barrel, i don't know.

Autocockers are closed bolt, when the gun is in the "rest" position the ball is already past the detents. If the ball is rolling out that means your bore is larger than the paint you're using.

so buy a barrel kit and test the paint size before using, if you don't have a barrel kit then your going to have to find paint for the size of yoru barrel, to test you grab several balls in a bag of paint and hold your barrel out (disconnected from cocker). drop the ball through, if it falls straight through its too small, if it gets stuck then it may be the right size. Now put it up to your mouth and blow, if it doesn't come out then it's too big, but if it does then your fine. Now if the paint happens to be too small you can still use the paint you just need to tilt your cocker backwards while shooting, and if it's too big make sure you carry a squeegee on to the field because balls may break
