Feedneck CCM New - Timmy/STO Silver & Blue - eBay (item 150295713768 end time Feb-14-09 06:34:28 PST)

Paintball Guns & Cheap Paintball Gear

I have the warrior on my SS, it's good. The CCM is the best clamping feedneck made.

I don't care for any of the ones that actionvillage has.

Yeah, that's why cocker necks are so gigantic. the upside, the threading on cocker necks is MUCH stronger than most other markers...just adds weight.

Oil is easy. triflow, gold cup, love juice, any of those. When you finish playing, take out bolt, take off barrel, 2 drops in the ASA, and dry fire 20-30 times. That's ALL that's required for regular maintenance. LIGHTLY lube the orings on the bolt with dow33. once a year or every 25 cases or so, tear it completely apart and replace and lube the orings on the valve, IVG, LPR.

Yes, that will fit.

Assuming it's still the stock WGP hinge frame, it will accept a standard drop.

Yup, you need a valve tool to take the valve out.

ok so i got the valve out and the mq2 in, everything buttoned up adjusted the regs so there where no leaks, got it shooting nice and straight, but now of corse i have a few more questions

1) do i need the cocking rod for anything? the one that came with the mq2 is a little shorter but doesnt seem to serve a purpose except maybe to keep the back block moving straight, but is it really needed for that? or will the bolt keep it from rotating?

2) so iv seen the expression around but im not sure what it is, what does half blocked mean?

3) any suggestions on how to cut down the moving mass?

4) i was talking to a guy at my local shop who said once you start upgrading the heck out of these he has seen a few cases that they cycle so fast that they will strip the threads out of the back block, should i be concerned about that?

1. bolt won't keep it from rotating. If you have the backblock and pump arm set perfectly, you don't need the cocking rod. My o3m long ago got rid of it.

2. Half blocked is when you cut all but a small portion of the top tube off.

Yes, I'm aware that has been pumped...but you get the idea

3. Slik Edge III bolt, pin + backblock if you don't want to cut. Otherwise midblock it (lowest reciprocating mass, but still higher overall mass than halfblocked.

4. Not until it happens would I worry. I've never personally seen it happen.

Like the Autococker SR, the newer Black Magics, the Jeff Orr Limited Editions. Uses a sled that the bolt goes on instead of a full block. Therefore you have less reciprocating mass than a halfblock. However, you have much more body left, so you still have higher overall marker weight than a halfblock.

Now that you've got MQ2, if you really wanna got custom and have it half or mid-blocked, you can also have it mini'd and midgetized if you'd like if it wasn't already a mini. Midgetized is when you cut the bottom tube off so it's even with the gripframe. EASY to do with a MQ'd cocker, much harder due to the room needed for the hammer to cycle in a classic valved cocker.

hmm, i think i see how the sr works (as far as cocking it goes)

it came to me compleatly stock fired maybe a handfull of times, the worrframe still had the original stickers on the inside. so everything that is being done is done by me.

another question,(1) i was looking at that picture above and was wondering, if you chop the bottom section off, where the cocking rod is, what stabilizes the bolt?, im really looking to get that cocking rod as short as possible and get rid of the beavertail.

2) i dont mind the total weight at all right now and any of these mods will seem to cut down on it anyway so i like the midblock option better, id rather have it shoot much smoother than weigh a little less. so i am curious about this, i dont quite understand what you mean by making the lower tube even with the trigger frame, i mean if you hack into the lower tube wouldnt you not be able to fire it? all the air would go out the grip frame right? where does the mq2 go if your hacking into the body?

wait a tick, i think i understand what your talking about now with the midget, your hacking off a portion of the lower tube at the back of the marker right? basically cutting off where the bevertail threads in? ill have to look into that, seems interesting,

i wont be looking to do these metalworking type mods for a while but i will keep them in mind. what all does the midblocking envolve?

You want the beavertail on there, trust me. I have scratched up multiple lenses by hitting my self in the mask with my back block while trying to play tight.

Second post here explains all of the mods for a cocker, turtling, hb/mb, mini and midgiting.

iv played with plenty of marers that have nothing but moving parts in the back before, ill be fine, if it becomes a problem i will mid block it and that should move all the stuff that could bang up my mask forward to where it wont be a problem. thanks for the link but all the pictures explaining how to do the mods are gone, ill read through it sometime though

Here's a mini, midget'd halfblock for reference if you want to think of doing it.
