PPS ram too long

Hey guys
I've recently got me some PPS pneumatics for my prostock. Everything works fantastic but i have a problem with the quicker ram.

When i installed the ram and screwed the cocking rod around the screw part of the ram, even with the rod and back block screwed all the way in, the back block does not reach the body, there's like a 4mm gap with the ram closed.

Is it that the screw of the ram is too long and it's hitting the end of the inside of the cocking rod? I could cut the screw part of the ram to be a little shorter, but my measurements inside the cocking rod tell me this is not the case.

I could add spacers to compensate at the front block but i'd much rather not.

Afraid I've never seen this, and without being able to look at it in person, don't really have any ideas what the issue is.

Actually, do you still have your stock? Can you take the PPS off and compare the lengths of the shafts of the 2 rams?

I'll post some pics tonight to clear it up, but yes, the pps ram is a little longer than the stock. Ergo my thinking that the reason this is happening is that the hole in the cocking rod isn't deep enough and the ram won't screw in farther and thus cutting the screw down would solve my problem.

But thing is that technically, since this is a standard cocker body, this should not happen at all, and i wouldn't want to mess it up given how hard it is for me to get parts shipped down here.

PPS might have had a rogue ram get out with the shaft not cut down to correct size.

Space between the backblock and body is certainly not a bad thing. The way i always timed was the space of two playing cards. Granted 4mm is probably a bit too much.
