ok so, i recently rebuilt the hyper 2 i have on my cocker (im going to stop decribing all the mods on it sice most of you are familiar with it by now) and its having a few issues im hoping to get some insite on. first of which is the MQ2, it is rather strange, its almost like it needs some time to warm up, sometimes the bolt will cycle but there is no air put behind the ball, after a few minutes of tinkering it gennerally has no issues for the rest of the day but its really weird, has anyone heard of this happening?
second issue, after i had it shooting finally i was using it with eyes off because of the dark shelled monster ball i was using (i know, im ashamed but its just for tuning) anyway it chopped a few and the bolt got stuck forward, nothing crazy, but i was tinkering with it afterward and noticed the ram seems to stick a little so i am trying to take it apart but not having a lot of success, i cant get the silver hex part off of the black body, the strap wrench i have will not grab the body and really i dont even know if im taking it apart correctly, any advise will be appreciated here.
i think thats it for now, i think there was something going on with the hyper 2 but it is probably just seating all the new o rings so we will see

Whens the last time you shot some oil through the marker. The design of the MQ valve is like a mini-spool valve. The other week I was having all sorts of issues with my MQ not firing every time, but it was just dried out and in need of some oil.
But mine will first shot-3 of the day almost always do what you describe. Now, I don't have to play around with it, just shoot a couple times and it starts working just fine. By the time I get chrono'd in it's working beautifully.
For the ram, check how your pump arm sets. sometimes that stick is caused by the pump arm dragging on the body. I've thus far avoided ever having to take apart one of my rams, so can't help you on that part. On another note, my ram for the STO is FINALLY supposed to arrive tomorrow.

havnt shot oil through it...........didnt realize i had to with teh MQ2, will do that tonight, im assuming the best way to get it in is to unscrew the reg and put it in the vertical asa?.....now that i think of it it would help loosen up the hyper 2 wouldnt it? so what do you thing, grip asa or vertical asa?
as for the ram, i really dont think its the arm, every time i would push it through slowly it would stick nomatter where it was but would move a little freer once i applied a little more force, im not sure that anything is wrong but it almost feels like the o ring on the ram is rolling around in there and getting pinched

I do the grip because it doesn't hurt a reg to get oil through it, and it's easier.
Yeah, you might have a sticky ram then. I just suggested the arm because I've seen lots of people who were complaining about it and all was wrong was the pump arm was on backwards, so it was dragging against the body every time it moved.
outch, ya i would realize that, not to mention its loc tighted into the back block (bevertail and cocking rod are gone now if i havnt told you yet) hmm, well im still kind of stuck as to how to get this thing off

I always use Factory Fast as a baseline, then lower my dwell down until my velocity stops being stable. As far as the rest of the timing, I leave that all at Factory Fast, since FF is capable on semi of like 28 bps.
ya FF doesnt work so well for mine, it has some pretty massive shootdown and just seems too slow, FF is limited to 12 bps with its preset timing right?
