Go for it. A stock 2k3 or 2k4 cocker will be sufficient for rec-ball play and such. Most people will jump and tell you 30 different things to uprgrade. Try playing with it first and see what you don't like about it, and then upgrade what you don't like.
Cockers are reliable guns as long as you don't touch them. As soon as they work well just leave them how they should be, and they will work for along time.

Ted is right. Bads things are as followed.
On mech cockers, you will shortstroke at first, but you'll get use to it.
Resale on ANY cocker is horrible. Great guns, but hard to get rid of for what you want out of it.
Like Ted said, try one out and see if you like it. If you buy one, i'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

They're great for rec play, and with the e blade, they can easily be tourney guns... tourney guns that can mow rec players as well
Go for it. I am completely satisfied with my Nightkast

Get a 2k4 and as soon as you play enough with it you'll know what you want to put into it as far as ups go.

So a good setup for anyone that wants a cocker would be a 2k4 and nitro..then if you wanna go tourney get eblade kit??? Does eblade kit make a cocker one of the best tourney guns? OR does eblade make it just good enough to be tourney worthy?

Get a 2k3 if you plan to upgrade it. It has almost the same setup as the 2k4.

if you go to a tourny you will see cockers and electros being used. electros are kind of in style right now, but cockers are still very competative.
before you buy anything test fire some cockers and electros (impulse, b2k2, etc..) and see which you like best
