The benefits of new internals are as follows:
-allows you to pinch paint with the right spring combo
-lower operating pressure (good to a point)
-less kick with lighter hammer
-better efficiency

My suggestion: get a $12 spring kit and a valve tool. you can get all the above benefits without a new hammer or valve.
