right, so long story short I need to take the valve out of my cocker(2k2- FF Valve) and put in my stock valve. I do not have a valve tool. Is this gonna be impossible, or is it doable?
i need instructions and opinions. Thanks a barf load.

Im not too sure on that one as I have never had to take out a valve yet. I think it is doable, but it is probably easiest to just get a valve tool from your shop. You can probably score one for like 15$. Check Ebay too, then your talking like 5$.

You can't do it with out a valve tool.... after that it's not hard....
1)take out IVG and spring
2)take out hammer
3)take out valve retainer with valve tool
4)take out valve
5)same for installing just make sure valve is pointed the right way....
Um...you're going to have to share that one with me... Either A) your valve is ****ed up or B) it's not there... there's a reason you need the vavle tool.... You can't fit a normal allen down to loosen the valve guide because the valve is higher then the guide making it impossible.... So please share...
it's easier taking the jam nut out then putting it back in. this is without the valve tool.
the valve tool isn't required, but it makes life much easier. a regular allen wrench doesn't have the disk or plate (what ever you call it) on the allen wrench. without it, you'll have a hell of a time trying to get the jam nut into the threads without cross threading or even getting it to catch the thread.
edit: tippmannbeast... i remember you bragging about how great your FF spring kit is. why are you just learning now how to take out the valve? am i missing something? 0?

lightbulb! i'm hurt!
i've never taken my valve out before because I don't want to risk f'ing up the threads in that area(a B*tch to get remilled), and I had my FF valve/spring installed by an airsmith(who ripped me off, might I add...) so i've never had a NEED to take out my valve.

So how did you take out the valve with out a Valve tool.... Incase you haven't noticed you kind of cant unless you don't have a valve in or your valve retainer nut is not in all the way.... There's a reason the inside of the valve tool is hollowed out... It's so it fits over the valve so you can slide it down far enough to remove the Retainer... I'm calling your Bluff on this one....

I took my allen wrench, and pushed in the pin, then unscrewed the valve (after taking out the nut first, of coarse). I just pushed in the valve, and twisted. easy as pie.
I'll post a video of me doing this if u want proof.

no harm done
mine leaked like a mother tho
it's wierd... my FF valve leaked, but my stock valve didn't (when i put them both in the same way), and now i'm getting velocity probs.
gee, i sure do love my cocker (I HATE MY COCKER)
