So i was trying to sweetspot my reg today, and it sucked. My fps was all over the place. well like plus or minus 10ish but still. I have a good reg, is there anything that could make my reg not function properly??, the shots were going everywhere?? help!!!

+/- 10 shouldnt make your paint go everywhere. I used to have a reading like that and it wasnt that bad actually. Check to make sure you are getting a good paint to barrel match and that the paint is not old. If thats not it...try to sweetspot better. If you're at +/- 10 you're getting close, just keep at it. Try Moodypaintball.com, and under "tech articles" there is an article labled "how to set a regulator". See if that helps you some.

Good luck bro.

if its a bad paint to barrel match it will throw it off...also if you use different paint.

the only real way to get a good consistancy (+/- 2 fps) would be also have a good paint to barrel match AND good have good quality paint.

Running CO2 through a Palmer Stabilizer, my old Autococker could shoot +-2fps with good paint.

So, what are you running, reg-wise, and are you using good, fresh paint?

Depending, dirt in the reg could cause the guts to stick, resulting in pressure fluctuations. Do you have a guage on it?

It says in his sig hes runnin a Mac Dev Gladiator, so his reg shouldnt be the problem, its most likely paint quality and/or paint to barrel match problems as everyone said.
