Double feeding chopping?
I went pbing yesterday and I got my gun tuned up Saturday. So today, I went outside just to shoot a little bit cause I had air and paint left over. And I started shooting then it double fed and chopped over and over. Then I went inside and checked the HaloB and checked everything because my bolt flew out the back of the gun and the cocking rod kept coming loose.
I also cleaned the eye.
I went back out again, it chopped and double fed.
So now I cleaned everything, the bolt is clean and oiled, I put the cocking rod back in tight with an allen wrench(not too tight but enough so it won't come out), I gave my halo new batteries, cleaned the barrel, lubed up everything, and its still double feeding. I'm pretty sure its the Detent, I think I should clean it. But when I fire sometimes, nothing comes out just air then it double feeds and chops or fires 2 balls. I'm pretty sure its the detent but I don't have any wrenches or anything here right now.

Is they eye clean/working? Thats really the only thing I could think of other than the detent, except for maybe the cocking pressure being too low and having weird feeding problems, but that would cause it to pinch and not break paint, so that isn't it.

yeah it only pinches the balls. I like it that way hee hee. No chops until 2 balls feed. Damnit.
I'm going to retry it tomorrow and clean the detent. I cleaned the eye and replaced the batteries in the Halo. So tomorrow if it doesn't work, I'll take it to eh shop because just plain "****"

Is the hammer lug low enough? It kinda sounds like the maybe the lug is skipping over the sear on some shots and catching on others, cause it to double feed.

Check your batteries . If it is not that then check your lug. When in doubt, check your batteries

Well if it's slipping and not catching the sear then it needs to be lowered a bit.. which would be a clockwise turn

first you must take off your bolt. When you have your bolt out, look at the top of your body, there should be a little hole behind the feedneck. Stick a 3/16 allen wrench in there and twist clockwise to lower the lug. Since you are double feeding i'd recommend doing whole turn and then shoot a few times to see if its okay. Then adjust accordingly.

Narrowed it down to Lug and Detent. So I'm goign to buy a new ball detent. Old thing is old anyway. Like 3 years, so I'm just going to get a new one like CP or ST don't matter.
Now the lug, I'm out of air now after trying to adjust it. I'm can't pin point it perfectly. This sucks.

Just pull your cocking rod back and pull the trigger... Adjust it that way. You dont necessarily need air.. Least I don't think you do to get the lug right.
