Beavertail?

ON a cocker in a tourney, do you have to have one? Or not? I hate beaver tails. They just get my way. I'm wondering though.

They usually flip on you becuase it can "come back and crack your lens" if you have it too close.

the beaver tail is there because people back in the day would get there guns to shoot hella hard by tampering with the cocking rod. that was a while ago tho

Beavertails on markers were required because it keeps people from rigging their cocking rods to go forward for longer before recocking. This means...higher dwell time.... higher velocity....dangerous

So any REAL tournament will require you to have a beavertail... Unless your marker is electropneumatic.

T-t-t-ails.

Personally, my future Cocker will be the FastBack body, so won't exactly need one... (More about that later.)

Right now I have a System X on my Cocker and I hate it. The tail is just fUgly to me and I can't stand the way it looks. Oh, well. Other than that I've scratched up my lens because on my bolt... No cracks.

I play super tight, and I always feel really stupid when I hit myself in the lens. I must do it once every day I play.

What some people use to do was push the cocking rod in with their palm/thumb when it was fired to increase velocity. The beaver tail makes that harder.

yeah its used so you don't adjust your velocity while shooting... i think HP called it "thumping" your cocker or something like that... but he would never say what it was

i think beavertails look good as long as you get one that works with the body/color you got
