hmm. interiesting. i was talking with a guy yesterday who is all about palmers and he was saying that what palmer told him was the only problem w/ cockers was that they use a 3 way when they really need a 4-way. i have an idea for a way to do a sort of react trigger setup on a cocker that i'm going to look into the feasability of.

Actually, they're all 5-ways: 1 input and 4 outputs.

1 output to ram to open.
1 output to ram to close.
1 output to atmosphere from ram opening exhaust.
1 output to atmosphere from ram closing exhaust.

Is that confusing enough? Should we examine the Osiris master control valve?

I'll still call them 3-ways.

Maybe the guy meant to count the number of Orings on the 3-way shaft? I've heard of/owned 2 and 3 Oring designs, but can't recall any with 4.

Whoever that guy was, he must be stupid, there is no reason to have an extra hose for anything, tell him hes stupid.

Although its not very common, some people call them a 4-way becuase they move gas 4 different ways. But the common term is obviously 3-way. Either way it is the same thing and they are talking about the same part.
