yeah... my tank is doing that too. I havent got a chrono to sweetspot anything yet but i think it should last a bit long than it is.

Cockers are not the most efficient guns in the world. If you are getting around 1200 with a full fill on a stock cocker you are fine. If the problem persists, set your regs.

well i think something is either wrong with my tank or my cocker caus i just got it and was playing around, dryfiring, and i more or less emptied my 68/4500 (only filled to 3000psi) and i probably only fired about 200 shots absolute max... maybe my little psi meter thing is busted caus its reading under 1000 right now.

Cockers, with good components, and timed right, are some of the most gas efficient guns on the market. Mind you, dryshooting uses tons more air then shooting with paint, its not at all effiecient to do that. How many shoots do you get off while your shooting paint? Find that out, and then come back with your finding and we can go from there...
Your gauge may be a little off. Look at the gauge your field uses to fill your tank and see if the readings match up.
You may need to sweetspot your reg...to do it, fill your tank, get some paint, and about 15 minutes at a chrono. Turn your main reg all the way down, so the gun does not fire at all. Screw your velocity adjuster out all the way (flush with the back of the gun) and then back in 2 turns. Slowly turn your pressure up while shooting. once the gun shoots, fire 3 shoots over the chrono. then up your pressure some more (25 or so PSI at a time) and shoot 3 more shots. Keep doing this until your velocity starts to drop again. It will continue to go up to a point, then drop back down, your wanting to find that point...Once your velocity starts to drop again, back the reg pressure down a tad bit and try to zero in on the exact spot the velocity curve changes. Once that is found, you should only have minor adjustments to do to your velocity adjuster to reach your fields velocity...

here's a better idea:
get a set of FF springs (less than $10) and put in the heavier ones (assuming you have the stock hammer). If you have good springs, then will make your marker more efficient. The reason why 99% of cockers get bad efficicncy is that their valve spring is either was stiffer or way looser than their main/drive spring, leading to the hammer either opening up the valve way too much and wasting air or not opening it up enough to fire far emough.

its on 04 cocker, (as per his sig) I highly doubt he's got spring problems with a stock 04 cocker thats likely brand new...

I have an 04 cocker and mine's set perfectly plus I have a cp reg. From my 47/3000 I get about 500-700 too. Just set it perfectly.
