Long Absence Upgrades for '99

I have a '99 Autococker it was a modified when bought model. Bought at National Paintball Supply in NJ. Cost around 900? in 2000ish. I never fired this gun, I just took it back because it sat in a closet for 4 years for maintence. While it is there I am thinking of getting upgrades.

For starters I would like to go with Nitrogen, What systems would you recommend? I'm not super shoestring budgeted but I dont want to spend an arm and a leg.

Also I have a elbow feed, does the cocker chop alot of balls? is it worth getting a vertical feed?

Any other recommendations would be helpful. I would like a reliable, and accurate gun, mostly emphasis on those, I am not really interested in rapid fire.

Basicly things to make it consistant accurate and lowish maintenance.

Take it out and play with it as-is. Then, if you notice something that you think needs to be improved, do so.

Any name-brand high output HPA tank should work fine. Even an inexpensive 3A tank from eBay should do well.

Nope, right feeds don't chop any more than vert feeds. The only problem is finding an elbow that will hold your hopper securely, without rotating. Switching from right feed to vert feed pretty much requires a new body.

Some add on info I looked around to sorta figure out whats on the gun. It seems to be a 32 Degrees Autococker Body, with a 32 Degrees Ice Cold 14" Barrel, Viewloader Revolution, Standard 20 oz CO2, Customized by Palmer's Pursuit Shop, with a Benchmark '99 Trigger, and looks like I guess Checkered browning style Plastic? Rubber? grips

it's looks nice but i would get a Inline regular to in where that bottom line is, and orracle valve to lower that pressure, you don't have to get a orracle valve off the bat, but i suggest get a Custom Products reg. it's about 65 for a super reg.

Yep, it definately needs an inline regulator.

Everything else looks pretty good. Certainly good enough to play with.

Thanks for the input, a couple of questions if you have the time, Any idea what year this cocker is really? I was wondering if I needed a new Backblock to put in a new bolt.

couldn't tell you but look for a serial code and call Worr and ask. Though you have that custom body so i don't know if that will work, basically you need a yr. 2000+ back block for the new bolts, so i would just go to a proshop and ask them, they could probally tell from looking at it.

I picked up a AKA Inline Regulator, a smartparts hpa 68/4500 tank, I called WGP and they said I had a 98-99 Body. Now the thing I was wondering is, should I go with one of there Pre-2K Delrin bolts or replace my backblock and go with an aftermarket bolt like a Shocktech?

I'm rebuilding my '98 Cocker and here is a list of what I've done to it so far.
On the bolt, I'm using an '02 back block with a two piece, aluminum/ delrin bolt for the '00-up Cockers and fits beautifully.
Your ram should hold two Qev's by Planet Eclipse and should help with the cycling of the marker over stock ram. I've got these on my ANS ram and can shoot as fast as my fingers can pull without chopping balls.
Your LPR, 3-way look good enough to keep on the marker so keep those.
The AKA inline reg is a good one and keep it too. I'll probably be switching the AKA Sidewinder for my '98 too and love the one I have on the '02 Cocker which is pimped out.
Get rid of the slide trigger and go with the WGP hinged trigger so you can short throw that trigger. This will help with the rate of fire and can't get that fast with the slider trigger.
I had to use my '98 last week at practice because one of the guys on the team had his Impy go out (all too often ). I let him use the '02 with e-blade and with the '98, was keeping him down with it, bunkering hem and after practice, asked how I could shoot so fast with a mechanical marker.
You've got a great marker there, looks better than mine and will be a great market to build up and be very reliable.
Good luck with it and do your internals last until you make up your mind about keeping it. The lighter bolt and qev's will help keep the kick down on your marker so don't really need the internals just yet.
