Custom Cocker Eblade eyes

i haven't posed in a long time but i am getting sick of my spyder and want to get a cocker. i have worked on my friends a little but there is one tihng i am not sure on. i want to get the body custom done from ebay then get all the stuff and put it together. well the person on ebay can drill the holes for the eblade eyes but i dunno if i am going to get a eblade right away (i want to get used to the gun and make sure i liek it b4 i pay for the eblade) would the gun run ok with the holes open? or would it mess up the internals? i haven't had a gun with eyes so i dunno much about them.

ps i tried to do a search on it but couldn't find anything.

You could go for that and just put some tape over the eye holes. It would be ugly, but it would be better protected.

You don't HAVE to cover them, you'll just possibly get more debris in the upper tube. As for how hard it is to drill them, I would have a shop do the drilling. The "hard" part here is the inconvenience of finding a shop that does the drilling and then waiting for it to be done.

you could always plug the hole with something like silicone too. then when you want to install just push it out. Little dab on your finger, smooth over the hole then its done and clean looking. If you really wanted to hide it you could mix a little food coloring in.
then when you want it out just push it out with a nail or something slightly smaller than the hole.
