thinking of going Eblade

well after christmas i was able to save enough money for an eblade and i turned to a few forums that i knew would help me out right away with facts. Things i need to know are:
1. I read the sticky, but how do i time the cocker's 3way? can that be done on the trigger frame too?
2. Does it cost extra to send it in and get the company to add on the eblade and drill eye holes into my cocker?
3. Do i HAVE to get eyes on my cocker?

thanx ahead

ok,
1. timing 3 way, you wont have to theres nothing mechanical about it, the grip controls that theres no physical actuator rod going in to open and close it. you can change the filter setting and stuff inside the grip, but thats for RoF settings.
2. yea, its probably extra to get the eblade installed and the eyes tapped, I had my local shop do mine and it costed me a bit.
3. you dont HAVE to get eyes, but..... its a good idea. if you have a side feed u cant get the eyes tapped, but if u got a VF you'll want to get it w eye.

hope that helps

It's really not that hard to tap the eye. If you don't feel comfortable then take it to a local machine shop. The eblade manual has a nice template for drilling the eyes. But the eye hole just needs to be centered in the feed tube and breach. But.....If you are getting a new Eblade, I would just like to throw out that E2 will have break beam eyes soon....so it may be worth waiting a little while more for. (it uses different holes)
One option would be to get an e2 and run it w/out an eye until the break beam comes out....or buy an E1 at a reduced price and have the eye installed. I have an E1 and it is a nice trigger frame, but the E2 should have better battery consumption and some other features. Keep doing your reasearch and you will be fine.
