I suck at life --> questions.
Free flow-
i got the smc ram with QEV's. i had to take the QEVs off to put it on, when it was on, i put the QEVs on, i torqued one on accedent and broke it off (omfg, i was... angry.). SO, also, is the front of the ram supposed to be anble to turn counterclockwise or clockwise like for fitting the qevs in better positions? i accedently twisted it, and was wondering if it was loose now, and if i should tighten it (no air, no 3-way right now, cant test it do it)
worr gas-
stripped the threads on a ****ty ASA (guys dont cheap out on regular bull****, get some quality on/off ASAs), so where can i get replacement threads for the tank? (pm me)
*also, if your wondering why i have no 3-way, it's because dye's 3way is bull**** and dye should jump out of a building for making it, so now im waiting for my shocktech bomb to get in hopefully before practice on the 1st....
it's been a REALLY ****ty 2 days...

^dude i Know exactly how you feel
anyways, the ram head can turn a bit, but don't mess with it too much.
The shocktech bomb 3-way will need to be oiled with 3-in-1 oil ALOT to run well. You'll be very happy with this 3-way- I have it, and it kicks tooshy. And when you first gas up after installing the 3-way, you have to unscrew your lpr all the way, gas up, and slowly inscrease the lpr pressure.
Did you strip the threads on your TANK or your ASA? Because if you stripped your tank threads, you'll have to e-mail WGP and see if it's covered under warranty.
If it's your ASA, then you need to shell out the $15 and get a new one.

did you get the QEV post out? I had some trouble with that and had to drill mine out. I used a 10/32 tap to clean out the ram threads where my QEV post was stuck. as for the tank, it sounded to me like you mard the threads on your tank. and I really doubt Worr is going to warenty that. good luck w/ that.

yeah, now my ram has one qev, and then the other end is gay and normal.
but yeah, i partially marred the threads on my tank. i think it'll still work, but if it doesn't, could i take it to a shop and get a new asa head for it? or is the asa head part of the regualtor (ie im screwed)

^the mods are getting mad at people who swear or cover it up like saying xx*x or other stuff like that.. i got pWned by Medic cuz of that
anyways
Yeah I hate tapping threads in general, so you're lucky you got tat qev out. Also, about that tank- you could get a diagram of the reg for the tank and see if it has a removeable head. E-mail crossfire or w/e and see if you can get a new valve cap.

Minus getting reoriented with them after taking a break I can't say enough good things about my cockers :P However I probably have just as much fun messing with my markers off the field as I do on it, could just be a style preferance. Yeah I wouldn't rely on them so much if you didn't like to break them down every now and again.

I am right there with ya Oscarine. I defenatly enjoy the tuning of cockers but would not recomend them for all.
As for the marred threads, if you can put a thread protector or nut that fits it you can usually straighten the threads back out. just don't force it. let the nut or dye if you have one recut the theads. It may be worth the effort of taking it to a shop that sells dye sets and get one for it. you would be able to straighten them out if they are not too bad.
and one QEV is better than none! it still will increase performance 50% of what 2 would. Sounds like you are doing better than you thought you would be doing tho. keep hammering at it.

yeah.
here's what i did
i got a thread protector, screwed it, unscrewed it, screwed it, unscrewed it (about 20 times) and then that got the threads in a bit of better shape. so then luckily i still had my empire on/off, so that's on my drop, and my tank will just stay on that rather than unscrewing it every time (i think it's easier anyway)
my ram's got 1 qev now, i cleaned the inside, it should work fine, i may or may not get another qev, i don't really need one with a mech anyway
and my dye 3way is ****ed. no 2 ways around that. the bomb should be in either tomorrow or friday
so noochies. i'm not all that screwed anymore. just mad about the qev, and the messed up some of the ano job on the ram (boo-friggin-hoo)
but yeah... how good is ff's lifetime warrante(sp)? they aren't so kind to fix a dumbass's mistake such as what i did are they?
