yah i know it can come off but what is it exactly used for? just protection? so im guessing that area that it covers is fragile/vunerable?

Its sole use in life is to look ugly.

I'm just kidding, but it does a good job of it.

Its real job is to be a grip, like said and and to cover the pneumatics from getting hit or smacked off of things. You really don't need it and if you upgrade anything under it it might not fit again anyway.

It's really only used to protect your pnuematics but they can take quite a beating, a direct hit wouldn't hurt em but it'll be a pain to clean it up later on. You could always buy neoprene cover if you're that worried about them.

Like 3mag said. The gun looks sexier without the shroud on Thats what its called. Just use the Inline reg as a front grip.

Don't be. If you get hit, worst thing nowaday sis that you'll have a hard time cleaning everything if you don't use the dunking method, and you'll need to replace your hoses. No biggie.

wrap one layer of electical tape around it. if that doesn't work, try two, and so on...

They are not supposed to be grips, if they were I would think WGP would have made them out of a better material that has better traction.

They are made so you can not get your pnuematics dirty. They are not a pain to clean out just get some canned air (the stuff used to clean keyboards) and spray it in thier.

if its a mech front end.. just dunk it in some water... ive done that, and it also helps to find any type of leak. (Disclaimer: im not recommending this to anyone, and damages made by urself after reading this are not my fault.)
