Hhmm
Most will agree that unless yer shootin real hot (310 +) yer acuracy will be deternined by yer paint to barrle match. See how yer paint fits the barrle. It should just fit in snug BUT loose enuff you can blow the ball threw with HUMAN air power. If the paint just falls threw the barrel then it WILL NOT be very accurate at all. If you dont have a choice in barrels then you car try to buy paint that best matches yer barrel. Most sites and nearly all paint manufacter sites post what average size their paint is. You can either find out what works by trial and error OR take yer barrle to a machine shop (and or) have it measured with a inside micrometer so you know the exact size it is.
Hope this helps

The only reason that your shots would be more accurate after chronoing would be if the velocity was high, but since it's out of the box it shouldn't be to bad.
Accuracy is mostly based on paint to bore match. To check your paint to bore match simply unscrew your barrel, place a paintball in the back of the barrel, and blow. If the paintball rolls out before you have a chance to blow the paint is to small. If your cheeks turn red in attempt to blow it out the paints to big.
Other things that effect accuracy are how clean your set-up is (theirs supposed to be no paint in your barrel, top chamber, bolt, feedneck etc.), consistency (variation of FPS), the weather (wind can obviously have its toll on accuracy), and paint quality.

i tried to blow paintballs threw the barrel and i got one that just rolled out, one that got stuck, and one that went threw when i blew on it and it got stuck in the end. i didnt buy cheap paint either, but i did leave it out in my car for 7 hours and its about 30 degrees outside.

Thats your problem buddy.
Anyway, when I got my 03' VF, it was chopping like crazy, then I popped a new LPR on it (Jackhammer II) and it worked flawlessly. Thats just my experience with stock out of the box 03' cockers. Maybe the pressure was off (thats my guess anyway) but whatever it was, It F'ed up my gun pretty good.

Here we go again... see the set screw in the back? tighten that all the way so it's putting pressure on the rod. that will allow you to remove it. It's a common problem, just make sure you don't wrench it back on. Hand tight is all you need. Just get in the habit of checking it after each game.

I have also seen really terible consistency when oil gets in the breach. (like if the bolt was over oiled.) Not rulling out the velocity or bore match, just stating another common cause.
I like my cocking rod finger tight + 1/8 turn w/ a wrench. (just snug it in)

I reccomend picking up a used reg (like a CP or Bob Long torpedo), and a cheap barrel like a CP 1-piece or a Tear Drop. These will create a much more consistent and accurate paint slinger.

When your shooting over long distances do the balls kinda zig-zag and curve horribly near the end of their flight path? From my experience if so this is due to to high input pressure through your front reg, dial back and see, could be other things but that sounds familiar.

I was refering to the cocking rod screwed into the hammer. that allen you are talking about sets the depth of the bolt, so that should be nice and firm.
I keep an adjustable jaw wrench in my bag, and insert the cocking rod into the hammer tighten and then snug it with the wrench. just a little twist (1/8 turn) dont crank on it.
I have just seen the thing start unscrewing as I am walking the trigger and thats all I need is that thing to get ejected at our gheto field. I would never find it!

The 04 prostocks(that is the correct year of yours, right?) has a small bore barrel. My regular Zap paintballs couldn't fit in it. I know it is small bore, cuz my mom gave me 500 rounds of marbilizers with my ProStock for x-mas. They fit perfectly. Marbs are small bore paint. I suggest like others did, a new barrel. I picked me up a Cp 1 Piece because I have heard good things about it.

BKO Bushmaster Threads work on autocockers right? cuz i have a friend who has one that he doesn't use anymore. and i was thinking it might be more accurate than my prostock stock one.

I am 99% sure that all ICD guns use cocker threads. I thought I read somewhere that older ICD used an impulse thread, but now they are cocker threads. check out their web site.
