Local Fields/Stores
I have noticed that workers at the local field, and the local stores seem to like Autocockers as the best guns. Alot of people like A5's and Autocockers.
Why is that? I mean a ref, a player, and alot of the skilled players are like Autocockers are the best, etc. Has anyone else noticed this? Is their something that I don't know. I don't know too much about Cockers...
A ref said to some kid who asked what the best guns are, and he said He thinks autocockers and A-5's are nice to him.
Alot of people seem to think this. Some kid who went balling with me on Monday and Today said his friend is really good, and he said to get an Outkast cocker, they are ONE OF THE BEST guns out there. Whats your opinion? Remember this is in Southern California.

it just shows you how knoweldgeable youre field staff are, cockers ARE one of the best guns out there, as long as u keep up with maintenance. A-5's arent a piece either, but i wouldnt want one :-x. with the right setup, a cocker can be unstoppable

One of my local fields is the same way. They seem to be living in the old days of Cockers n Angels. They think they are the only good guns around. Not that they aren't good. I was talking to some of the regulars on their forums a couple weeks ago and there was a thread about whats the best gun. Everybody said either some kind of Angel, or some kind of Cocker. Somebody brought up a Matrix and they all said matrices always break down, there are better guns around, blah blah..
I'll just have to take a trip down there and mow 'em down with meh DM4..

^ ya pbpro. But you live in SoCal to so you prolly can relate. Everybody says get a cocker, or an A-5 is REALLY good. Thats all i seem to hear.
What is so great about cockers that makes them better than say a BKO or B2K?
Literally I didn't bring up angels. Those rip. But cockers? I even told the ref, "By cockers you mean the ones with a million things to upgrade?" He says, "ya," and chuckles.
If i were looking(which i am) into a mid-high end gun(like i am) what do you recommend? Are cockers that great?

A-5's don't break, they just don't
Autocockers arn't for noobs at all..
Around here I see Dm4's and shockers more than A-5's and Autocockers

every one by me has either a DM4/DM5 or a cocker
cockers arent more accurate thats just a rumor
but they are very effiecent, plus you can clean them throughly on the field in play (with is nice)
well i like how they look and how they shoot (back block)

all the guns are the same accuracy, but cockers just about no kick back so that has to do with the accuracy.

shut up fubar.
i would always recomend the best gun for the person based on what type of matinance they wanted to deal with and their price rang, Also adding in if they wanted an upgraded hopper and barrel. And for most woodsballers, i'd recomend the 98 custom over the A5 cause it's more reliable (seen them dropped in streames, and run over) and the A5 if the person was sorta mixed between woods and speedball. And i'd recomend a cheapo mag or a Spyder for woodsballs. I recomended cockers for tinkeres (since i ususaly got paid to fix their mistakes) then Impys if they wanted an electro pumatic, then slowly moved up from there i know almost every gun out there and can recomend the best **** for you. end of story.

At the field I go they seem to prefer Mags to Cockers for mechanical and for upper-end more Timmy then other ones. (although a few have Shockers/DM4s). They seem to all generally dislike Angels.
Of course the lower-end guns they sell tend o be Spyder variants.;
