Allen wrench in the front (I'm not sure of which size), turn it to remove the set screw to lower the pressure. If your holding the gun like you're firing, it would be turning clockwise.

yea, most likley its that it is too high. heres wat u should do/try. take the allen wrench and turn that set screw way out on you lpr. lower it down bigtime so it won't do jack up there when u gas it up. now, gas it up, pull the trigger. nothing should happen w/ the back block. now with the trigger pulled start to turn the set screw back inward on the lpr. keep turning it inward until the back block moves to the fully cocked position. now let off and see if you have any hose problems. if you do then you either have bad hoses or a sticky lpr that needs to be taken apart and cleaned

Stock LPR's are not externally adjustable, this is the main reason people suggest you get a aftermarket LPR.

Take of the hose, unscrew the main part of the lpr offa the screw that goes into the front block, look into the lpr, as if it was still on the gun and your looking down the barrel, and turn clockwise, this should turn it down. you'll have to keep on doing this to get the pressure right.

However I would try something else first: your hose may simply be worn; take it off, and cut of the very end, about the length of the barb. Shove it back on hard so the hose is on as far as it can go... that might help so you won't have to mess w/ your lpr at all.

take it apart and rewrap it in teflon tape.

teflon tape is a nono especially in this situation, don't use it on and especially in regulators, it will eff it up.
and most likely is a worn out o-ring inside the lpr, probably on the piston itself. If your proshop charges you more than... say $30 then you're being majorly ripped off, even $30 is a bit pricey to replace a lpr o-ring.

be quiet? what? do a good job? no, the threads screwing into the front block did not need sealing, it was an internal thing silly.
