Crap... cocker problem.. 1st game!..grr

okay.. so i got my cocker off ebay... i went play paintball today... convinced my friend to use his hpa tank.. and i aired up (btw. the guy said he had it timed when he sent it to me) .. okay.. and i shot it.. and it sounded kinda funny... even though it was the first time i shot an autococker.. it was weird.... and then i came to a conclusion.. that the timing was off... what it was doing WAS...... i pulled the trigger, half way through the pull- the bolt cocked back, then on the HALF WAY BACK(to an unpulled trigger), it finally shot.. but the REAL problem was that it wasn't staying cocked...i took it to the guy inthe proshop ..well... "PRO" shop... and he tinkered with it.. and he said something's going wrong inside.. and that i'm missing a screw.... well... if you wanna see my cocker.. it's in the rate my cocker section.. maybe that'll help some.... the guy said "we're gonna have to tearout the inside and see what's going on" and he pointed to the lower tube..does anyone know if they can help me? and/or give me step by step instructions on how to fix this?!!?! it's driving me NUTS!! Thanks

Sounds like it was just horribly out of time to me. Actuating before it fired. I'd think move the hammer lug up, and set it to actuate later.

yeah.. the guy (his name's jerry) .. jerry said that he can't do anything until i get that screw.. because it was holding back the bolt or something.. i think that if it stays cocked.. then it'll be fine

You should leave a negative feed back to the seller. Or if it would cost you more money to repair it i would return it...

^ yup best timing vid imho.

its just very very out of time. i'd say the guy jerry is probably wrong in saying that a "screw" is missing. what he would be referring to would be the hammer lug. will the cocking rod stay back(cocked) when you manually pull it back? if it will then nothing is missing. just time that puppy.

take the tank off and cock your gun (assuming you can cock it). Then very slowly pull the trigger and try to remember when it shoots. If your gun shoots after 1/2 of the entire pull, then you have to raise your lug. If its ~1/2 way or a little earlier, it should be fine and what you need to do is set it to actuate later.

whew I thought U were the guy that bought mine off of ebay. but i saw in the rate my gun section and it sint mine.

Wow that sounds messed up. You should always look at the sellers info and look at his feedback.

What the guy is talking bout is the valve tool which is needed to remove the screw or w/e it is from the gun so u can take off the front block and body.

Did u first try retiming, sounds like the 3way, and the lug are untimed, if it wont cock then its the lug. The gun should actuate halfway threw the pull. meaning it cocks.

btw do u have a hinge or slide frame on it.... didnt look at the pic long enough. looks like a nice gun thouhg.

No, he needs to lengthen it meaning turn it clockwise. Just make sure that your firing point is about 1/3 of the way so you don't hafta mess with the 3-way.

alright.. i went to that website, and i downloaded the video.. i gotta go to lowes or home depot and get an allen wrench set key... i didn't get any with it...... so.. to fix all the stuff you guys are talking about the lug and sear, i need to adjust the sear usign the hole in the top and to adjust the 3way.. i need to just twist it? so that it fires halfway through the trigger pull?and if it doesn't.. then which way do i turn it? again, thanks guys

btw- it's a slide trigger
