Aside from not having to remove the cocking rod are there any differences between the 2? Is there a downside to having a dialer kit?

on the rex, i know u have to drill a hole in the back block for the allen key access... not sure about the IVG... in fact, ive never seen one

What the hell, really? IVG is what every cocker comes with, the one that requires you to remove the cocking rod for allen key access.

ivg is stock on 04 and 03 and prob all others its personal prefference really if you want quick access to velocity change get that other one if not and dont care stick with IVG

The Rex Dialer is just a type of IVG. It's a variation on the older plug-style IVGs.

I don't find the Rex Dialer any easier than a standard IVG. To access it, you either have to drill a hole in the backblock, which almost overlaps with the cocking rod hole, or put the backblock to the rearward position (degas or hold trigger?). Also, you turn the Dialer the opposite of the standard IVG: ie counter-clockwise to increase spring preload/velocity.

To me, it's a solution that introduces more problems.
