Installing a new front block?
How hard would this be? I have never taken my gun apart, other than cleaning the bolt etc etc. Nothing has been removed by me, so I am kinda unaware as to how I would do this. Should I let a tech do it, or can you all guide me through it?

its easy. probably have to do a minor retime of the 3-way once you do it. basicly all you do is take out your cocking rod, and bolt. then unscrew your back block from the pump arm. then unscrew the pump arm from the ram. then take out the set screw that holds the 3-way rod to the timing collar(might have to remove trigger frame so that you can get to the set screw). then use the proper allen wrench to take the front block off. not big deal if you know what you're doin.

no. you only have to have a valve tool if you want to replace the valve.

one thing that I would recomend is when you have the front block off lube up those orings on the banjo bolt really well with DOW or vasoline if you dont have DOW.
it will keep them from drying out and cracking. and since you are in there anyway.....

yeah, i was going to mention that but i neglected to. if you don't have any dow or vaseline on hand you can use regular gun oil as well. make sure that you don't pinch the 0-rings when you are putting the block back on.

well.. I don't actually know how to take it all apart. is there a place I can get a crash corse on it?
On a side note, the field wants roughly 25ish to install it...

all you have to do if you just bought a new front block kit, is use an allen wrench to unscrew the big ass bolt in the middle of your block. why am i doing this? i told you exactly how to do it in my first post.

the cocking rod doesnt need to come off...
if you mean the PUMP ROD, it unscrewes from both the backblock and the ram.
never have taken anything off the front block itself though... and was woundering if there is anything special (like the set screws on the 3way.. never knew that)...
Also the actuating rod (the one that goes in the 3way), just slide right out...
