cocking rod/ivg help
do they have a tool to adjust the ivg with out taking out the cocking rod cause my cocking rod is stuck in there(i know about the rex dialer but to instal it u have take the cocking rod out.
BTW they should make a tool like that anyways even if the cocking rod isent stuck cause that would mean no more taking out the cocking rod!
if it was to be made it would be like a half of an allen key thats hollowed out to allow it to enter the ivg with out taking out the cocking rod

well.. i'd fix the cocking rod being stuck first.... have you tried using a wrench or plyers?.. fix one problem.. before creating another

Get some vice grips or channel locks on it, if you put electical tape on the bitings surface of the pliers it wont scratch every thing up. But then again a cocking rod isnat that expensive so go ahead and mess it up tring to get it out. you can buy a good one for under $20

you don't use a monkey(aka: pipe wrench) to try to take out small stuff like that. get an old washcloth and a pair of VICE GRIPS. it WILL come out. peiod. face it, you will have to take out your cocking rod to adjust your velocity or to even install something so that you don't. just get the thing out, thats a problem in itself.

like said above, VICE GRIPS! that mo'fo will screw right out. if the end thing comes off, then just screw it the rest of the way off, and vice grip onto the shaft itself, not the threads tho. cock it and itll come out...

i hate when my cocking rod gets stuck in...its mainly stuck cuz the knob unscrews but the knob doesnt so im gonna need to get some teflon tape...but anywayz back on topic...
...take off the bolt and beaver tail, cock the gun, wrap the cocking rod around with a rag or piece of cloth, take vice grips and grip the rod and spin counter clockwise until it comes out
