Are the new autocockers a good buy?
I currently own a Tippmann A-5, it is a good gun beside loud and uses Co2 like candy because of the cyclone feed. Anyway, I am thinking about buying a Trilogy Pro Autococker and I was wonder if anyone knows how it performs and if it is worth the money. If you have any suggestions for others gun choices I have a buying range of $200-300. Thanks for the help!

ok to answer your Q NO DO NOT BUY THE TRILOGY SERIES. THEY SUCK.
u can get 2k3 vert cockers which are way better and u can put an electro trig on them for 250.Plus u can upgrade all the punematics etc.
and if u buy a 2k4 they only cost 356 so go shovel some drivways for the extra 50 bucks.

Much more like a pretty looking spyder, SURE, I mean they are closed bolt markers, operate at a lower psi and aren't blowbacks. They are nothing like a Spyder. For the price they are ok markers, but as always a 03/04 will prove to be better

BMXfreak, what you need to understand is that the rest of us have been around the older cockers, which ARE better. The 02-04 series to be exact. ALL of us have one of these or better and basically the new series is just an extreme downgrade for WGP.
Its a slap in the face. We were expecting the new ones to have a supremely short trigger pull, faster ram, adjustable inline reg, lighter bolt...etc.
That is why we think they suck...you know because a company is supposed to grow better over the years and wgp just downed their standards...doesnt make sense.
In short, stop glorifying the trilogy series and stop acting like we dont know what were talking about. I know exactly what im talking about...I wrote the effing sticky, and I know breeves knows what hes talking about because I taught him the basics.

Damn, I love how people always hate on the new thing in town. Everyone started hating Trilogy cockers as soon as they read the features on them. I started hearing,"Man, this is going to ruin cockers, making them that cheap" and "WTF you mean integrated parts?" I'll put it simple, Trilogy cockers are good guns. Are they as good as the "real" cockers? No. But they are good for people who don't have time or desire to tweak every minute aspect of their autococker, or for new players on a budget looking for a good gun. I bought one(a Sport), just for the hell of it. I had a reg sitting around, so I put it on it, aired up and messed around a little while on it. Personally, I was impressed. Trigger was a little tight for to finger use, but it was plenty fast for a cocker, hard to short-stroke, and still felt as good as any other stock mech cocker I've shot. So what's the problem? It's still built very well, anodizing looks good, and it works well out of the box. In my book, that's a good marker. If you guys want, I'll field test mine next chance I get and post a review, testing it both stok on Co2 and upgraded( PMI Thor reg and probably bolt) on nitro. And I know what I'm talking about when it comes to reviewing a gun, I've owned dozens of pb guns, including nice cockers. Just wish people would stop condeming a gun they've never seen in person, or much less shot. That's just retarded. LMK if ya'll want to see a review.

ok ill say this one more time, and you guys can agree with me if you think im right...we (previous autococker owners) were DISSAPOINTED in the fact that WGP took a backstep in thier marketing. We were LOOKING FOREWARD to IMPROVEMENTS to the autococker NOT A DOWNGRADE.
THAT IS WHY WE DONT LIKE THEM!! Sure the people who are new to them are gonna like them because they never owned the older better ones. You have to understand this to understand where we are coming from.

With a 2-300 dollar budget and no experience with cockers, I'd say stick with the A-5. Most cocker's in the 2-300 dollar range are not going to be really superior to an A-5 in most respects, and I would say that a Trilogy IMO is not going to be *superior* to an A-5.
Save up some more cash and think about an upgrade to something that is going to be alot better than you are shooting now.
