ok enough bashing the trilogy autocockers
ok first off ive been seeing alot of posts with questions about the trilogy series.they all end the same way with someone saying they suck.ppl r saying this because they think the built in 3 way blows.i own the trilogy pro and i checked with wgp about it.they said the 3 way was designed around the sto 3 way.so i get the same performance of the upgrade stock when u buy it.second just because it cant accept the eblade upgrade doesnt mean the gun sucks.the trilogy series were made to make autocockers affordable to thos who cant spend big money on a gun so right off the bat an eblade would most likely be out of the question.sorry to be a prick about the subject but im just trying to get the info straight to those who were told the trilogies suck.thanks for your time.

Well...your right and your wrong. In terms of mechanical cockers they aren't that bad for performance. But nowadays mechanical cockers are not something to be desired. They aren't bad guns but for the same money you can just buy some sort of blowback and get better performance. The only reason that autocockers were more desirable back in the day is because they were better built and accurate, if not the fastest. Now that blowbacks have only gotten better, and the new trilogy autocockers have taken the cocker and put it down to the level of a spyder, there is no reason to get one.
They are of poor quality, and you can only upgrade it a tiny bit, which is a big part of the fun of owning a cocker. Plus with cocker resale value plummeting over the past few years, you can now buy an upgraded autococker that is eblade and everything else compatible, and of course still have the sturdiness of the "old" cocker.
So if you could get a used trilogy for say $50-100, then yeah, it's a good deal. But to buy a new one for $150-200 when you could jsut get a used "real" autococker seems silly to me.
My .02 cents

very true but once again wrong the only thing that cannot be upgraded is the three way.and yes they are cheaper but it doesnt mean the quality went down.they were made to be affordable.i mean sure u can find a used ebladed autococker for like 500 bux but some people prefer mechanical.i have an 03 and a trilogy pro and i cant tell ne difference between them.i mean if ur gonna spend the money in the near future then yeah dont buy the trilogy.but if you dont want an eblade then buy it.

bmx the main reason i think they are bad is cause im thinking the the long run after owning the marker 1-2 years time i would rather have a used 03

they just suck on value. what other guns have you shot man? what other cockers? when it comes to mech cockers the MAIN thing people want to upgrade to get a better, shorter pull is the 3-way. this key component of the firing system is non-upgradeable which totally sucks. if you havn't shot a good cocker like an 04 or 03 prostock, or for that matter an upgraded one you need to go shoot one first then talk later. trilogies just suck for the money. i'd rather buy an 03 bko or somethin because its got much better performance and is a MUCH better value.

ok if u read my last post i said i also have an 03 vert feed.if ur not upgrading to an blade then u would prolly upgrade to either an sto or a shocktech bomb.the trilogy 3 way was made designed around the sto so its not the stock one like on the 03 vert.

i just believe that its a good beginning gun...but it won't be able to compete against the electros out today because right now the trilogy doesnt have an option for an electric grip meaning you won't be able to turn that trilogy into something fast like all those other cockers...

Okay, since you didn't understand me the first time:
Trilogies can compete with the best mechanicals out there, but to buy one new when you can simply buy a "real" upped cocker used for the same price is, IMO, dumb, since "real" cockers break less and are ugpradable.
I personally wouldn't pay more than $100 for a trilogy.

Agreed. I like what drktamer said, I wouldn't pay more than $100 for a trilogy. At that price point, yes, the trilogy becomes a good value, and would consider them a good starting gun. But for the price they ask, they're just one of the worst values in paintball. A spyder imagine offers more bang for the buck, and you can upgrade it further than the trilogies.

I got my first 2k2 Cocker for 185 with an AA barrel, Dye Ram, Uni mount, etc. Which owuld pwn any trilogy, and I could eblade it and also Get a new body.
Why waste your 200 bucks on a piece of crap when for 250 u can get a 2k3 wgp vert cocker.

look i started this to correct a couple of facts about and that was it ok?enough with the flaming.the trilogy is a true cocker and yes it is a beginner gun if u wanna put it into specs.but other then that its just as reliable as my 2k3.the only thing u cant do is eblade it and thats it.everything else is removable and replaceable.so lets drop it at that ok?
