Finally blew a headgasket
okay, my car was leaking oil. Well one day a while ago I had serious problems with stalling. Running on 2 cylinders, other 2 weren't firing. Well, I've been keeping radiator fluid and oil/stopleak in my car. Well yesterday I came home from school and I noticed a funny smell. Well, I went to get gas, car smokin out the exhaust pipe, came home, steam coming out from under the engine. Not a lot, just enough to let me know somethin's up. So We check everything, put a little stopleak in their, put some more water in the radiator, and I head for a test drive to see if that was the problem.....nope. Car starts runnin HOT! So I pull over into the Dalewood store and park it to let it cool down. Friend of mine pulls up to see what I'm up to and I'm like MY CAR IS ****ED UP! He tries to start it...doesn't work, just clicks. Call my mom to pick me up. Well, after my friend left I tried to push it. Even as strong as my legs are, car won't budge *yes, it was in neutral* so I decide to see if it will crank up. Long story shortened up a little, It cranks up, I get it home in the red.
Two options.
New headgasket and parts.
New engine.
Problem Is I don't know where online to look for a 4 cylinder efi frontwheel for my car, checked google.
tl;dr
Blew a headgasket, either need new motor or replace the headgasket, at 170k miles, probably get a new motor.

It's not siezed, but i'm still looking into a new motor. Let's c, right now, I am waiting on a call from a couple places for a job so my parents are still buying the parts, they don't want to buy me a new car because "every teenager wrecks his/her first car"
So I'm just gonna restore this one into good condition.

Agreed.
And by the time you spent that money to get the car running smooth again, you could have just bought a car thats NOT a piece of ****, and then be somewhat happy. And then we wouldnt make fun of you for having a ****ty car. I know it's your first car, but that thing is begging to be taken out of its misery.

buy my Tbird for $1500, it'll be 10x faster than your POS and you'll have a car that doesn't look totally retarded

lol
http://www.cardomain.com/id/zpyro
has ~144k miles on it, mustang upper intake, throttle body, K&N filter, mustang headers, h-pipe and tailpipes, flowmaster dual chamber mufflers, shift kit, underdrive pulleys. the engine is basically a tuned-down version of the mustang's, so if you had a mustang engine (302, 331, 347, even 351 and stroked 351s) it will bolt right up. only made 150hp/250tq, but it's still enough to roast plenty of rice, which is kinda sad
I've seen plenty of crappier cars around here for about the same $
edit: that engine isn't going into the Tbird, it's going into my Mustang. but you can see what you can do to it, and it'll be a sleeper compared to having a stang

lol, tbird>fbird in terms of sleeper status my gf tonight, as we were walking home from her grandma's (around the corner) commented on how it looked like some evil car from some stephen king movie.
wish I had this much interest from people around here. I guess I should probably clean it out huh although now the damned starter's going out, I get to spend even more on this before I sell it. I'll probably just throw in the starter from the mustang and use a hi-torque mini starter on the stang
so if anyone in central (or anywhere else in) cali wants a nice sleeper project, here ya go
