hmm
friend of my dad's is selling his son's RX-7
he's gotten too many speeding tickets with it I guess
It's a 93 I think, twin turbo, has some engine upgrades not sure yet though and it's just a really nice car. He likes my jeep and said I could give it to him and cut the price down drastically.
With my jeep traded to him I'd have to come up with 2 grand... he said if im serious he'll hold it
If I want it I need to quit paintball, sell all my nice stuff just to get it. Havent talked to my mom yet but I dont know if she'll let me cause its "too much car"
what do you guys think?

255HP car, weighing about 2800lbs? I'll take it. The TT RX-7 has a 1/4 time of 14 seconds, and a 0-60 of about 5.1 seconds.
Definitely a great buy, I'd jump on that offer if I were you. Only problem is in the winter. But man, those cars are sweet. Make sure the rotary engine is in good condition, you don't want to wind up with a sweet car that has a bad apex seal or something.

Keep in mind that if it breaks down, its gonna be really expensive to fix. RX-7 are nice, but arent very reliable. The rotary engines are a little high maintenance. The problem with this is that if you arent that good with cars, you're gonna have to find a mechanic who can work on a rotary. Which, usually means going to a mazda dealship and paying a s***load.

Well I checked it out this morning, drove it a bit. It's a nice car but every time I shift it just feels like the transmission isn't going to last long. This kid isn't the smartest when it comes to cars... he's dropped it from high revving in neurel to first and i dont know fi the gearbox can take that.
I'm going to pass.
